Mike Hennech, Class of 1963


















Retired Teacher, Coach, Administrator and Author

Mike graduated from Permian in 63, went to Tarleton for 5 years, 2 years in the Army as a Lt. (ROTC at Tarleton) in Frankfurt, Germany, and then moved all over TX, WA, and N.M. teaching and coaching football. He said he finally got tired of moving and retired. He also has a publishing company, an Ebay store (Alepub), and book sales on Amazon.com.

He founded Ale Publishing Company 1986 as a means to publish his first book (Encyclopedia of Texas Breweries, Pre-Prohibition (1836-1918) which has been sold out for a number of years and is now only available on the secondary market.

Six other books followed in short order: Texas History According To Us, 1991; Brewing in Trinidad, Colorado, A Beer History From Statehood To The Last Draught, 1992; Beer Trucks, A Photographic Salute, 1870-1992, 1992; Texas Short Fiction, A World in Itself, 1993; Texas Short Fiction, A World In Itself II, 1995; and Circle Of Champions by Bryan Hoddle, 1995.

Future publications are currently in various stages of production, and current inventory is available from Amazon.com and his Ebay Store (Alepub).
